I can't connect my Tali to Wi-Fi
Tali only works on 2.4 GHz networks. If your router publishes 5 GHz only, it cannot see it — and if you do have 2.4 GHz, check the distance.
Tali acts as the hub that connects all your Puk sensors to Wi-Fi and uploads your information to the cloud. The Wi-Fi connection matters not only for that, but because it is also how firmware updates reach the device.
Symptom: Tali doesn’t detect the 5 GHz network
Tali only supports 2.4 GHz networks. Some routers are configured to publish 5 GHz networks only, which Tali can neither detect nor join.
The fix is to configure your router — where it allows it — to also publish a 2.4 GHz network. Almost every router allows this. If yours does not, a router that supports 2.4 GHz can be added for the connection.
Symptom: Tali doesn’t detect the network, and I do have 2.4 GHz
The router may simply be too far from the Tali. Try setting it up near your router, and find a spot where the Tali is within reach of your network’s signal.
While it’s offline
Nothing stops. The screen, the sensors and the local alerts do not depend on the cloud, and the whole gap syncs once you are connected.
