The screen is blank, or hasn't changed in hours

E-paper keeps showing whatever it drew last even with nothing plugged in. That makes a frozen screen misleading: it looks like a running device that has stopped thinking, when it is usually a device that has quietly lost power.

Start with the cable

Check the USB-C cable at both ends, then try a different adapter, then a different cable. A charger that is fine for a phone can still be a poor fit here, and a cable that has been flexed at the connector for months is the single most likely culprit in any powered device.

If the screen is lit but the data looks old

Then the display is fine and the network is not. Tali keeps measuring and showing readings locally whether or not it can reach the cloud — a stale timestamp with live readings means the Wi-Fi dropped, and the fix is the network one.

Nothing is lost while that lasts. When the connection returns the full history syncs, gap-free.
