Tali isn't detecting a Puk
Almost always distance. Pair it right next to the Tali to rule that out — and check that the battery's plastic tab came all the way out.
Puk is Tali’s wireless sensor. It connects over BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and, long as its reach is, it is not unlimited. Walls affect the distance at which it can be detected.
Symptom: Tali doesn’t detect the Puk
Try setting it up right beside the Tali. If that works, the problem is the distance between Tali and Puk — find a position that brings the two closer together.
Remember too that one Tali holds up to ten Puks. If you are already at ten, the next one has nowhere to go.
Symptom: the battery’s protective tab won’t come out cleanly
On one of the earliest versions we found a manufacturing defect: the torque on the screws prevents the plastic tab — the one that keeps the Puk from draining its battery in transit — from being pulled free.
If you find that a Puk is not being detected, or that the plastic is only partly out, you can open the Puk with Allen keys to remove the plastic and let the battery make contact.
