How do I tell which Puk belongs to which zone?

Puks are identical. Once three of them are sitting in three different places, working out which row in the app is the one in the humidor is not obvious — and guessing means renaming the wrong zone.

There is a gesture for it.

Shake the one you want to find

1. Open the app and go to the configuration section.
2. Pick up the Puk you want to identify and shake it.
3. The Puk you are shaking animates on screen.

That is the one. Whatever it is called there is the zone it is currently assigned to, so you can rename it — or move it — knowing you have the right sensor in your hand.

Why it works

Every Puk carries an accelerometer, the same sensor that reports vibration in your zones. A shake is simply a movement too large to be anything else, so the app can point straight at it. The Tali screen borrows the same idea to silence an alert.

Easiest at setup

The best moment to label a Puk is before it disappears into a cabinet — see naming your zones. But if you are already past that, the shake works at any point.
